As Team Lead you are responsible for the daily leadership of a Scrum or DevOps team of around eight people. You guide and motivate your team members and support them in developing their careers. Key about your team
As a Team Lead, you will be a vital member of our IT team, dedicated to maintaining a virtual private cloud environment for our top-tier SaaS applications. Our team operates across The Netherlands and India, with your primary base in our Utrecht office, working alongside 13 colleagues specializing in Networking, Virtualization, Backup, Security, Monitoring, and more.
In this important role, you’ll support an IT infrastructure that serves around 35 major clients in the pension and insurance sectors, impacting millions of customers across Western Europe. Our platform services include Dell and Cisco hardware and a fully virtualized server cluster using the complete VMware suite.

You’ll use your expertise to create robust environments, foster collaboration across departments, and optimize our digital infrastructure. Key about your responsibilities
- Spot opportunities to apply new techniques and improve existing processes.
- Act as a sparring partner for architects and management on technical and domain topics.
- Oversee work that spans multiple product lines, applications, and departments.
- Build bridges between teams, product lines, and business lines.
- Set the example in technical knowledge and engineering behaviour across domains.
- Provide clear feedback to engineers, architects, and management, and act as a go-to technical expert.
- Guide and mentor engineers and help define suitable learning paths for team members.
- Promote and safeguard the engineering culture within Keylane.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about solutions, tools, and ways of working.
- Design and teach frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Create a safe, open environment that encourages ownership, collaboration, and speaking up.
- Connect people across all levels and navigate organisational dynamics with sensitivity and persistence.
