Keylane’s DevOps Flowmasters bring the heat in the best ways. To try something new, they then organized a fun-filled event for all Keylaners in the form of the DevOlympics.
Keylane organizes many team events, from Expert Talks, Knowledge Sessions and Open Space Events. We’ve now gone a step further (or two) and created our own DevOlympics event.
We mixed up our DevOps teams and managers into various groups; thus creating nine teams of four. Being ready to tackle the DevOlympics assault course, the fun and games began!
With a ball in hand, the goal of the DevOlympics assault course was to make it to the end, throw a ball into a basket, and then sprint back. Once the last competitor had crossed the finish the line, we stopped the timer.
It would be an understatement to say the DevOps teams went for it, but they really went for it! Through powering down the course like true olympians; They were in it to win it, and they showed it.
The air was electric, sweat was flying; and we had to apply one or two bandaids here and there. Following two heart-pounding rounds with all teams competing, it was time to face the DevOlympics finals and allocate our winners.
After such an exhausting fun-filled day, celebrations were in order. We enjoyed a good ole’ BBQ with drinks; including both meat and vegetarian dishes served to satisfy all taste buds.
