It was all about “dotting the i’s”
On March 18th, 2019 the second edition of exec(ut) took place in Utrecht: a conference for and by IT students. Keylane was the principal partner for Exec(ut) Conference 2019. Relive this day with the official aftermovie, some pictures and of course the Key note from Roy Smeets, our VP Product Development, Hosting & ICT. He was a keynote speaker during this tech savvy conference, talking about; “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” of Product Development.
“The Good, the Bad & the Ugly” of product development
For many of you Global Product Development (GPD) might seem interesting and appealing. And luckily many companies are both developing & selling software in a mogul industry nowadays. But that’s only the bright side of things. When we deep dive in GPD and turn to the dark side we can adress things like; complex product portfolios, offshoring, and not invented here syndrome.
Over the past 10 years Roy has been leading international product development teams. During his talk he shared all his experiences: “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly”.
Roy is CTO and Vice President Product Development, Hosting & ICT at Keylane. He has an impressive track record in both product development and hosting in SaaS oriented standard software companies. Additionally, he has an entrepreneurial perspective on building solid, strong, cross-border teams. Previously he has been in various CTO and R&D management positions at Ingenico, Redknee and Nokia Siemens.
