Key about the team
We are a group of highly dedicated software experts, who are cooperative and eager to do the best for our customers. Keylane drives industry standards by developing best practice in standardised migrations, implementations, and comprehensive project management.
As a Keylane DBA you are responsible for building and maintaining the DBMS with its databases. Together with the Technical Application Management teams you work together on the daily maintenance of the databases and where possible you help to advice the team when executing complex queries. Beside this, in your position you are the linking-pin for the Product Development department for the usage and changing of challenging queries.
Key about the role
In the position of DBA within Keylane you will support a set of products and/or systems to help maintain the availability of the IT services and enable the delivery of all internal and external requirements. We think it is important that you proactively develop, control and monitor diverse databases while also being responsible for the backups, upgrades, updates, patching and incidents on the systems managed by us. Besides this you keep track of changes, analyse, solve and correct issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution. Automation will be used by you to reduce the risk of errors and to escalate issues as appropriate to meet service level agreements. You recognise opportunities to improve performance and strive to exceed customer expectation. Also, you will cooperate in diverse projects and provide the management team with reports on regular basis.
Furthermore, we think it is important that you
- Have a couple of years’ experience in a same position
- Have knowledge of, and experience working with relational databases, preferably with DB2 and have experience working with Linux servers
- Preferably have knowledge of JEE-application webservers (WebLogic, Tomcat) and networking
- Work customer and result oriented
- Are proactive, flexible and a real team player
- Evening and weekend work is part of the job and therefor a flexible mentality is required.
- When you have experience working with Ansible this would be a big plus!
