Director Projects - Property & Casualty

This role is crucial to our growth ambitions, and you will report directly to the Board. 

Key about the role 

As Director of Projects, you will be at the helm of the implementation of our Axon platform – a core insurance solution that is vital to our customers. These projects vary from just under a year to 3-5 years with implementation budgets between 1 and 10+ Mio.  

You will lead a department of approximately 90 professionals (directly: 6 FTEs), with a strong focus on delivery excellence, customer satisfaction and innovation. You will play a key role in balancing supply and demand, standardisation vs. customisation and stimulating entrepreneurship in your team. You're expected to participate in steering committees to guide our Axon implementations on client side. 

Outlines of the role: 

• Managing and developing a team of delivery managers (6 in total). 

• Managing the Project department (approx. 90 FTE). 

• P&L responsibility for turnover and margin on project delivery.  

• Strategic stakeholder management with customers, the board and internal departments. 

• Strengthen the power to effect change, process optimisation and delivery methods. 

• Support sales with substantive expertise and accurate project estimates. 

• Guarantee the quality, timeliness and continuity of implementations. 

Key about you 

• At least 10 years of experience in project delivery/IT implementations at board level. 

• Demonstrable experience with large-scale software implementations (SaaS, migrations, long-term projects). 

• Knowledge of the insurance market is essential. 

• Leadership of teams >50 FTE, preferably in a matrix structure. 

• Strong in change management, decisiveness and strategic alignments. 

• Experience with stakeholder management at C-level. 

• Knowledge of Dutch and German is an advantage, excellent command of English is required.

Our department Axon Projects is responsible for all changes at our customers: from new implementations to major changes and consultancy. Together with DevOps, this team is the face of Keylane at our non-life insurance customers.
