People Stories: Johnny

I’m Johnny, and within Keylane I have two roles – I’m a Senior DevOps Consultant and a Flow Master of my team. I also have a bit of a side job as one of our front leaders for our in-house bar, BaaS!

What do you most enjoy about your role at Keylane?

Everything! My Senior DevOps Consultant role is very diverse and you never know what will happen on the day. That’s because DevOps is the first line of contact for the customer. So if there is a bug reported, or a problem that needs to be solved, that is our main focus of the day, and next to that is any maintenance or deploying new versions of our software. The thing is, we never know how the day will begin, and that makes DevOps a very interesting role. That’s what I like about it.

How does your DevOps role at Keylane help deliver customer solutions?

What we are often doing as DevOps Consultants is deploying the newest version of Axon to our customers, so our product development department delivers us the new version of our software package, and we in DevOps make sure it is deployed in all customer environments. And we test it, of course!

Can you tell us a little bit about your hobbies?

A bit about my hobbies? Ohhh that’s also very diverse! First of all, I’m a photographer in my private time, making pictures of mostly people. I also like cooking, and very much like Asian and South American cuisine. Next to that I do a lot of weight lifting and boxing in the evening.

Keylane is such a fun company to work for. You can grow in your role. So, for example, say you start in a DevOps or Consultancy role, it doesn’t have to be your job forever.
